CATHERINE Fookes, MP for Monmouthshire, visited Undy Primary School this week to present pupil Charlotte with an award after she won the MP’s annual Christmas card competition.

The competition invited Year 5 pupils from schools across Monmouthshire to design a Christmas card. Charlotte’s design was selected as the overall winner, with designs from runners-up also featured inside the final card.

The finished card was sent to households across Monmouthshire, as well as to other MPs and Ministers across Westminster.

During the visit, Catherine also spoke to pupils about her role as their Member of Parliament and answered questions about her work, including her campaign to clean up local rivers.

Catherine Fookes MP, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to visit Undy Primary School from the pupils, particularly their interest in my campaign to clean up our rivers. Big thank you again to the teachers and students of Undy Primary for the warm welcome.
