The annual firework display in Monmouth on Monday (5th November) had an extra firework display this year.

In the month celebrating the centenary of the Armistice, the Rotary club-organised display included a firework poppy that was lit at the end of the evening.

Over 900 people enjoyed the bonanza of fireworks on the Town Field and saw Councillor Terry Christopher begin the celebrations by lighting the bonfire.

£3,300 was raised from the evening, more than last year, and that money will go to the various charities that the Rotary Monmouth support.

Organisers wish to thanks all those that turned out to support them and make it one of the most successful evenings so far.
