Daring Emma King took to the skies for her latest fundraising mission. Emma, from Monmouth, has raised more than £24,000 for ABF The Soldiers Charity – running numerous marathons, organising events and now completing a sky dive – and wants to top £25,000 by the end of the year. She started fundraising for the charity five years ago after her friend, soldier Jamie Gunn, lost his life on tour in Afghanistan. Emma said she wanted to do something for the charity as it was a great support to Jamie's friends and family at such a sad time. The charity gives lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families, providing financial assistance when needed. "They risk so much for us but for them they are just doing their job," said Emma, who works closely with the charity and has met other people it has helped. It is not too late to make a donation and anything you are kind enough to donate will be matched by her employer Barclays Bank. You can visit her Just Giving page to donate online at http://www.justgiving.com/">www.justgiving.com/ Emma-King23 or in person at Kings Fee Spar. Emma would like to thank everyone that has sponsored her over the past five years and Kings Fee Spar for their continued support. If you would like to fundraise for the charity, email [email protected]">[email protected] The Hope Valley Run, which offers a four or eight-mile race taking place on Sunday 12th October in Woolhope, will be supporting the charity.
