MADAM,

May I express my thanks to a lady who came to my aid in the car park at Lidl last Monday afternoon.

I had been nudged, verbally abused and threatened with “I’ll get you in the car park,” by some very odd woman.

Having been shaken by this completely unprovoked attack, and after the assistant had checked the car park, I exited the shop, but half way through the car park, I asked a lady if she minded walking with me to my car and briefly explained.

Without hesitation the lady said she would, and in fact didn’t leave me until I was safely in the car.

How very kind of her to come to my aid without question, I do not know her name, so cannot thank her in person. Therefore may I express my thanks through your paper.

The incident was reported to Monmouthshire police.
