SIR,

On behalf of my husband and myself I wish to say a very big 'thank you' to all our family, friends, neighbours, the hospital staff at Nevill Hall and Monnow Vale, the staff at Marks and Spencer in Monnow Street, ACE Taxis, the ambulance drivers and the REA for the wonderful support and kindness they have given us over the past month since my husband Bill fell and broke his hip.

He is in Monnow Vale and is recovering slowly but surely.

For such an independent person as myself, I do not know how I would have coped.
