Great first touch, direct, quick with a low centre of gravity and a cool head in front of goal was the assessment of seasoned Town watchers as Riley piled into the tiring Redbrook defence.

Of course, there are far sterner tests to come for the youngster and this game was noteworthy mainly for such snippets and a debut too for 16-year-old Greg Tynan in front of proud dad Dave.

MacDonald shone again, Pass looks a great signing and Williams looks inspired rather than threatened by the new stickman.
