During the Monmouthshire Scout Jamboree, held on the Vauxhall Fields from 25th to 27th May 2012, a number of local professionals and businesses in Monmouth were kind enough to go on 'standby' in case there was an urgent need for their intervention.

I would therefore like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Mrs Helen Tilley of Overmonnow Eye Care, Mr Peter Rowland, dental surgeon, St James square, Mrs Grace Holly, Chief Pharmacist, Monmouth Boots chemists, Mr Daniel Rosser, pharmacist, Church Street Pharmacy, Mr Philip Munday, green grocer, Church Street, Marks & Spencer's and Waitrose.

I know that the Gwent Scout Council were very appreciative that there was assistance available in Monmouth should the need have arisen over that weekend.
