PUPILS at Osbaston School made the most of World Book Day on Thursday 5th March.

The children went to school dressed as their favourite book character, as part of a day that encourages people to read.

Pupils were dressed as everything from Batman to a Disney princess with Paddington Bear, Dennis the Menace and The Cat in the Hat in between, as they brought to life a host of famous stories.

Schools across the region took part in the event which aims to get children of all ages involved – from nursery through to secondary school.

Competitions and games were held as part of the event backed by National Book Tokens.
