SIR,

The final formal re-union of the "evacuees" from King Edward's Grammar School, Five Ways, Birmingham who arrived in Monmouth on 1st September 1939 will take place in Monmouth on Sunday 6th September 2009.

I would like to meet up with Betty, nee Preece, formerly of Monnow Street, Emily, nee Watkins, of Overmonnow and Robin Tyler of Wyesham.

I realise that this is something of a "long shot" but it would be brilliant to receive a phone call on 0121428 3347.

The townspeople of Monmouth were most welcoming on that Friday morning in 1939 and for the next five years and are held in great affection by Five Ways Old Boys of that generation.
