Happily I can report that I saw "The Duchess" at the Savoy Cinema this week and the sound quality was perfectly fine.

 Having accepted Mr Bignell's invitation to go along there and meet his consultant sound engineer on September 11, I understand that much work has been done in this regard, indeed I have now noticed this is stated in the weekly ads.

It's great the threat of closure has now been lifted, however I am glad I raised the sound question as no-one else seemed to have done so. You had two interesting responses.

Perhaps now all those who came once and never returned will come back again.  I do hope so.
