SIR,
We have just returned from our second visit to Monmouth, this time during the festival week.
Our stay was once again at the Monmouth Caravan Park off Rockfield Road. This site offers first class facilities, excellent welcoming efficient staff, and it is close to all the local shops and so on.
A perfect place to caravan? Well, not exactly. Has anyone from the local highways actually thought of how to negotiate a caravan, or any of the larger vehicles that use this lane, to take a left turn towards the town centre?
It is impossible unless the driver drives on the pavement, and the police don't like that sort of driving.
The alternative, if this is not the first time you've done it and learned from experience, is to drive tightly around the mini roundabout once and exit.
It would not take much thought and planning to make this well-used exit both easier and safe.
