Last year 450 walkers took part and raised an incredible total of £19,000.
In The Pink Charity was formed 9 years ago by a former breast cancer patient and her friends. To date they have raised over £600,000 for the breast cancer research team at Velindre, Cardiff, by running canal walks across South Wales.
The Rotary Club event maintains the waterways theme. It will be based at the Monmouth Show Ground and 4 walks will be on offer. There are distances to suit all levels of fitness, from 1.8 miles up to 13.5 miles.
Buses will take walkers down the valley to their chosen start point at Chepstow Leisure Centre, Tintern Old Station, Bigsweir Bridge or Redbrook.
They will then walk back to the Show Ground along the banks of the Wye whilst enjoying the superb scenery.
It's a fun event designed to appeal to both sexes. An award will be given to the walker judged to be wearing the best outfit.
Further awards will be given to both the team and the individual raising most sponsorship money.
