Road closure at The Hendre for BT Works
Monmouthshire County Council has announced a temporary road closure at The Hendre, near Monmouth, to allow BT to carry out essential poling works safely. The closure will be in place on Saturday, September 14, from 8am to 4pm, and affects a 1.55km stretch of the B4233, heading southeast from its junction with Pant Lane.
While the order technically lasts up to 18 months, the work is expected to be completed on the same day. Residents living along the affected route will still have reasonable access during the closure.
Drivers are advised to follow the signed diversion via B4233, B4347, B4521 and A40, and vice versa. The council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks everyone for their patience while the work is carried out.

The closure will be in effect from Monday September 15 to Wednesday, September 17 with the work expected to be completed within those three days. Access will still be available for properties along the affected stretch.
A signed diversion will be in place via Narth Road, R90 Monmouth Road to Hoop Road, B4293 Monmouth Road, and Greenway Lane, and vice versa.
