THE River Monnow has burst its banks in certain areas of Monmouth, and water levels are continuing to rise, at 4pm reaching 4.974m at 4.15pm.

Video footage taken this afternoon shows the river running high, just behind Home Bargains. Residents are urged to remain cautious near the river and stay informed with updates.
