NATURAL Resources Wales issued flood warnings and alerts across parts of Monmouthshire as heavy rainfall from Storm Chandra caused disruption, including road closures.
“There are currently six Flood Warnings set in place in South East Wales affecting the River Monnow and River Lwyd, with Skenfrith and Forge Road in Monmouth being places of particular concern,” said a spokesperson from Natural Resources Wales.
Flood Warnings mean that flooding is expected to happen, and there should be immediate action to protect yourself, your family, and your property.
To stay safe, the areas which have received flood warnings should move family pets, and valuables to safety, turn off gas, water and electricity supplies and do not put yourself at risk by driving through flood water.
