Monmouth Town Reserves played their part in a thrilling five-five draw with Goytre at the weekend.
Monmouth went three-one up but by half-time had been pegged back to three-all.
Monmouth scored two more in the second half, leading five-three, then conceded a late fourth.
Just before the final whistle, Monmouth gave away a silly penalty which Goytre gladly capitalised on, ending an exciting match with a draw.
Goals came from Andrew Rogers, George Riley, Alex Hunt and two from Jimmy Lee on his 18th birthday.
