Monmouth Town Reserves played their part in a thrilling five-five draw with Goytre at the weekend.

Monmouth went three-one up but by half-time had been pegged back to three-all.

Monmouth scored two more in the second half, leading five-three, then conceded a late fourth.

Just before the final whistle, Monmouth gave away a silly penalty which Goytre gladly capitalised on, ending an exciting match with a draw.

Goals came from Andrew Rogers, George Riley, Alex Hunt and two from Jimmy Lee on his 18th birthday.
