MONMOUTH Floral Society presented a cheque to Meeting the Needs last Thursday, for the money it raised over the last year.

The charity, which raises funds for Overmonnow Primary School's Special Needs Resource Base (SNRB), was chosen as some of the members of the floral society regularly visit the school with pets.

The society met at Bridges Community Centre where they were thanked by pupils from Overmonnow's SNRB.

After meeting some of the society members who had helped with fundraising, the children then went back to school.

This left Mrs Lewis, head of the SNRB, behind to give the Monmouth Floral Society an interactive talk about the work the unit does within the school and community and everyday life at Overmonnow Primary School.
