PICTURED is the winning entry of Chepstow Photographic Society and Vintage Vision's recent competition.
'Harnessing Power,' by Brian Evans was chosen from a vast selection of entries by the society, who were tasked by local enterprise Vintage Vision to take photos with a nostalgic feel.
Chepstow store Herbert Lewis displayed the photos for one month and invited shoppers to vote for their favourite image.
Dee Griffith, Managing Director of Herbert Lewis, said: "I was chatting to Amanda, the brains behind Vintage Vision, and when she mentioned the vintage competition I immediately offered some space for display as it resonated with our store being Chepstow's 'Vintage' department store.
"I was asked to see the photos at The Chepstow Photographic Society club and while there we decided that it would be better if the public could see them and vote for them rather than a private judging.
"The photos were displayed for one month and our customers voted as well as visitors to The Chepstow Photographic Society Facebook page who voted through 'likes'.
"We really enjoyed talking to people about them and having them brighten up our Facebook 'wall'.
"The winner, Brian, has framed the winning photo and people can now view it in store."
