Police are appealing for information to identify people involved in an incident of violent disorder in Welsh Street, Chepstow, on Saturday 8th December.

At about 8.55pm, it is believed two groups of people – one group coming out of Mythos Bar and the other coming out of The King's Head – were involved in the disorder. There were no serious injuries.

Five men, all from the Pontypool area, have been arrested: a 21-year-old arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and escaping from lawful custody; another 21-year-old arrested on suspicion of violent disorder; a 27-year-old arrested on suspicion of violent disorder; a 24-year-old and a 22-year-old arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of a class A drug.

All have been bailed pending further enquiries.

There are other men and women police want to speak to in connection with the incident.
