Monmouthshire County Council has announced a temporary closure of Beacon Road, Trellech, on Wednesday, October 21 from 8am to 5pm to allow telecommunications poling works to be carried out safely.
The closure will affect a 175-metre section of the road approximately 55 metres from its junction with Llandogo Road.
A signed diversion route will be in place via Greenway Lane, the B4293 Church Street and Llandogo Road.
Meanwhile, a temporary speed restriction has been introduced on the B4235 between Mounton Brook and Chepstow at Mynyddbach. The order will come into effect on Tuesday, October 20.
