THE owner of a Wyeside caravan park featured in Netflix hit series Sex Education has applied to planners to increase its occupancy to 11 months a year.

Known locally as Sterrett’s Caravan Park, despite being officially renamed the Symonds Yat Caravan Park, the site has 82 static caravans for holiday usage along with eight touring caravan pitches and an additional area for the same use.

The current owner acquired the site in 2023, and the application is to extend opening from 10 months per year to 11 months, from February 7 to January 7, allowing the usage of the site over the Christmas/New Year period.
