A temporary traffic order will come into force in Monmouth later this month as the council prepares to introduce a short‑term bus turning area during regeneration works at Monmouth Bus Station.

The order begins on Monday, September 28 and may remain in place for up to 18 months, although all works are expected to finish by Sunday, January 31 2027.

The measures will temporarily suspend several parking bays on Blestium Street and Monnow Street.

This includes a disabled parking bay on Blestium Street around 8m from the public toilets, and another disabled bay on Monnow Street outside No.123. Two “Coach Only” bays on Blestium Street – one near Cattle Market Car Park and one near Robin Hood Car Park – will also be suspended.

In addition, the limited‑waiting bay on Monnow Street between No.115 (Ladbrokes) and No.109 (Monmouth Hearing Centre) will be unavailable.
