SIR, If you or any of your friends, colleagues or relatives own a pink car, you might like to participate in the seventh annual Pink Car Rally, which will take place on 6th and 7th September. The rally is strictly on road and is more like a pink parade, which makes its way across the UK raising awareness of, and funds for, the Little Princess Trust charity, which gives real hair wigs to children and young adults who lose their own hair, primarily through cancer treatments. This year's rally will be 'orbiting the orbital', by completing a clockwise circuit of the M25, over the two days. Starting in Langley, Slough, day one will see the pink procession join the M25, heading in a clockwise direction. A pink pit stop is planned around noon, at South Mimms Services, before they head off again continuing their motorway marathon until they arrive at intu Lakeside, where the pink cars will preen for the public and the drivers will collect coins for the charity. Pink participants will be staying in the area overnight, before starting day two of the rally at Brands Hatch, Britain's best-loved motor racing circuit. From Brands Hatch, the pink parade will continue around the M25, and is planning a special 'secret stop' along the way, before continuing to Langley, Slough to complete the circuit. More information regarding the secret stop will be posted on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pinkcarrally">www.facebook.com/pinkcarrally) and Twitter (@saligray @pinkcarrally), closer to the date, so please follow us to keep updated. If you would like to make a donation to the cause, we would be delighted. We have a Fundraising Team Page:- http://www.justgiving.com/teams/pink-car-rally-2014">www.justgiving.com/teams/pink-car-rally-2014 Simply scroll through the team members and click on one of their pages to make a donation. All JustGiving donations go directly to the charity, which relies on fundraising activities and donations to fund the beautiful real hair wigs, which they give to children. Families unaware of the charity, who buy a wig for their child privately, can pay between £1,200 and £2,000 for one. This is precisely why we also want to raise awareness of the charity throughout the UK and Ireland.
