A MONMOUTH residential home has shown its support for a breast cancer campaign by wearing pink for a day.
Parade House residential home took part in “wear it pink” day organised by Breast Cancer Now last Friday, celebrating the work that the campaign does to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
Residents at Parade House had a coffee morning and joined men and women across the country wearing pink for breast cancer awareness as part of breast cancer awareness month this October.
Wear it pink is a campaign by Breast Cancer Now that has the ultimate goal of ensuring that no one dies from breast cancer by the year 2050.
Set up in 2002 to help fundraise for breast cancer research, the fundraising initiative has so far raised over £23 million for breast cancer research.
