CHEPSTOW Festival starts this week, kicking off a four week event that sees some of Britain's best touring open-air theatre companies visiting the town.

The Three Musketeers, adapted by theatre company Illyria, is the first production on the bill, with ten more shows to follow during the festival.

Filled with comedy, romance, intrigue and swashbuckling action, The Three Musketeers aims to prove a hit with all the family – a theme which continues through the remainder of the festival.

Other shows include Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing and The Taming of the Shrew, Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice and Emma, and children's favourites such as The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Mr Stink.
