The Olympic Torch will enter Wales through Monmouth in just over two weeks' time and for one young woman the occasion will be even more special.

Robyn Tyler will be carrying the torch through her hometown on 25th May after being nominated for the honour by the Fit 4 Life gym at Monmouth Leisure Centre.

The 21-year-old lost seven stone in just over a year after a doctor gave her an ultimatum.

"I was 20 stone at 18 years old, and was told I was going to die in six months if I didn't start losing weight," said Robyn.

"I found out about the Olympic Torch in January and I am really excited about it – it is nice to be noticed.

"Everyone at the gym has been a great help, giving me tips on getting to where I want to be and staying fit and healthy."
