SIR,

May I draw your attention to a report which appeared on Page 1 of the Monmouthshire Beacon three to four weeks ago regarding the statues of Henry V and Charles Rolls being protected owing to the work which is in process at the Shire Hall.

Charles Rolls was referred to as "Sir!" May I point out that his title was as follows: "the Honourable Charles Rolls" - he was never knighted!

I would appreciate it if the error could be corrected please.
