A MUM has spoken of her concern after her young daughter found a dirty needle just yards from her Monmouth home.

Seven-year-old Ffion Gardiner was walking home to Carbonne Close from the neighbouring park and play area when she found the syringe outside a neighbour's house.

"She came into the house and said 'Mummy, you know when you are in hospital and you have an injection? Well, I've found one of those needles outside'," said mum Claire.
