SIR, I wanted to write to say that I am beginning to get more and more frustrated by the lack of consideration given to fellow motorists with regards to queuing to exit off Junction 2 from the the Old Severn Bridge. The issue is getting worse in the fact that the left lane coming off is now dedicated to turn left to Newhouse Farm Industrial Estate which is now used for impatient car users to skip waiting in the correct lane, causing a lot of ill feeling and also potential accidents when the users enter the roundabout. Recently there have been more queues in the evenings at peak time on the Old Severn Bridge and you can see other cars bounding down the outside lane at speed, only to brake sharply in order to join the queue of traffic near the exit in hope that someone allows them to to push in. I have been a victim of this on a few occasions and I feel that having the left lane of Junction 2 dedicated to the industrial estate is probably one of the worst things I hate about traffic in and around Chepstow. I have witnessed bumps between car owners because neither one are willing to use their brains and employ the zip rules. I can only envisage this problem getting worse as time goes on and feel that whoever decided to change the lane dedication should put it back so that both lanes are open to inbound traffic off the Old Severn Bridge.
