THE Solar Eclipse is tonight and Monnow Eyecare have issued safety advice for anyone who is looking to view the eclipse this evening.

A few things to remember:

Never look directly at the sun without the correct eye protection

Normal sunglasses are not safe for viewing an eclipse

Don’t look through binoculars, telescopes or cameras without a specially designed solar filter.

If you have solar glasses, ensure they are not damaged as even a brief glance at the sun can cause serious damage.
