MORE than 300 competitors fought it out at Newport Leisure Centre recently in the Tae Kwon Do Welsh Closed Championships, with Monmouth competitors taking home some of the medals.
Among the silver medal winners were Jake Perry for patterns and Sam Morgan for sparring.
Andrew Hunt Ryan Phillips and William Barnard all took bronze in sparring.
Monmouth's Tae Kwon Do expert Tony Farr was very pleased with his students.
"The club is going from strength to strength, I am very proud of them," he said.
