MONMOUTH’S Pet Shop is moving to a new location, continuing to serve the community and embark on a new chapter of their journey.
Paws Pet Supplies and Grooming Salon announced on their Facebook page they are moving to a new location in Beaufort Arms Court in Monmouth. Hoping to move by the end of September into early October. The pet shop is moving next to another popular business in Monmouth, The Punch House and into what was known as the former old Magic Cottage charity shop.
Pete from Paws Pets told The Beacon: “There are two reasons for the move, the aftermath of Storm Claudia hit us hard emotionally and financially. The walls and floor were checked by professionals and were safe in the short term but would still need time to dry out. This would result in our business closing for three plus months. We are coming to the end of our lease so we decided to look for another site to avoid closure for both customers and staff.”
The traders have spoken to a few of the neighbouring businesses in and around the Beaufort Arms Court and said they have been very kind and supportive of them joining the other businesses at the top of town.
The business is still offering the same services as before including grooming which will also be coming up to the top of town and they are planning to still be offering small furry boarding.
“Please forgive us if things look a little different over the coming months as we begin to move items up to the new shop, said the business on Facebook.
The pet shop said this isn’t goodbye and they also have their sister shops, Creature Comforts in Ross on Wye and Chepstow Pet Supplies in Chepstow.
