MADAM,

21 years ago I wrote a letter to the Beacon asking if any creative writers would like to contact me.

As a result, Monmouth Writers Group came into existence and continues to this day.  Over the years many have joined us including accomplished writers, published authors, poets, playwrights and those who have never written anything creative before but wanted to ‘have a go’. All have been equally welcome.

At one time our youngest member was 15 and the oldest was 90!  We have published four anthologies and used to hold regular performance evenings which were very well supported. 

There has often been a waiting list but recently we have lost a number of longstanding members.

As a result we are now able to welcome new writers or would-be writers to join us. Come once and see what we are all about.
