SINGER-songwriter Mark Ruebery has just launched his second album, "One Night, One Chance".

Having supported the likes of Ronan Keeting, Charlotte Church and John Barrowman, Mark has had a varied career to date – including touring the world on cruise ships and being an internet sensation in Indonesia.

Mark, who has a close affinity with Monmouth having lived in the town, has strong musical links to the area.

Along with regularly performing in the region, he shot the video to "Her Smile", the first single taken from the new album, in Monmouth's The Pocket Bakery and The Savoy Theatre, while he has also recorded work at the famous Rockfield Studios.

He says: "When shooting the video I definitely wanted it be in Monmouth.

"I have always loved Monmouth and had a close connection to the area. The people are always warm and friendly every time I come back."

"I recorded my first album here with Rockfield producer Nick Brine. We are close friends and I regularly perform in Monmouth when I can."

The new album draws on the ending of a rocky relationship and is described by Mark as a moment of self-realisation, recognising that he could do far more than the job he had been doing for years.

The new found positivity is clear on the upbeat record which mixes Mark's smooth voice with jazz and swing numbers.

"One Night, One Chance" is available to buy now.
