MONMOUTH Photographic Club recently hosted the Welsh Photographic Federation Memorial competitions at Dingestow Village Hall. The event is a prestigious, annual competition where 18 photography clubs brought entries into the following categories: projected images (PDI), colour prints and monochrome prints.

There were three competitions and all winners were presented a trophy for each of the categories. The winners were decided by Ralph Snook, and Ron Lines, President of the Welsh Photographic Federation. The Projected Images competition was won by Bargoed Camera Club and they were awarded the Walter Morgan Memorial Trophy; the Colour Print competition was won by Monmouth Photographic Club who were awarded the Past Presidents Memorial Trophy and the Monochrome Competition was won by Pyle and Porthcawl Photographic Society taking the Gwyn Morgan Memorial trophy.
