Despite the very wet and windy conditions, a very successful annual show for the Mitchel Troy Village Produce Association (VPA) took place at the hall last Saturday (20th August).

Prizewinners included Pat Hill, who took Overall Show Champion and won the vegetable classes, kitchen garden classes were won by Rosie Adams who also took the prize for the flowers and pot plants.

Eileen Williams won the preserves cup and best Welsh cakes, Betty Hart won the best preserves exhibit while Lindsey Woodfield was awarded the handicrafts cup. Bronwen Hull won the flower arranging section and Carol Anstey the best specimen flower.

Junior winners included William Adams for his animal made from vegetables and Ryan Trigg won the award for ‘ a painting of my mum’.
