A Macmillan Coffee morning held at the premises of Adrian and Rosemary Smith, raised nearly £500.

The couple held a lunchtime and evening event with the choice of a ploughman’s lunch or cheese and wine.

They were also given raffle prizes which helped boost the funds.

Thanking those who supported them, Adrain said “can I thank you all very much for coming and making it enjoyable for Rosemary and I.

“We are looking to do more of these fundraisers, it’s been great to reconnect with old friends and make new ones and it was nice to see the Mitchel Troy people coming along to support us.”

Macmillan provide information, support and guidance for those affected by cancer.
