IN JUST 12 sessions, Coffi Troddi, the monthly coffee mornings held in Mitchel Troy Village Hall will have raised £1,000. Last month the total reached £970.

The next coffee morning is this coming Saturday, 21st May, 10.30am until noon and features a plant swap.

Although there is no intention to charge for the plants, there will be a donation box on hand collecting for a defibrillator.

The aim of the Coffi Troddi mornings is to bring people together whilst enjoying a chat and the delicious home made cakes.

The cakes are generously donated by the various bakers, who are then entitled to a free cuppa and piece of cake of their choice!

Last year the monies made from the coffee mornings boosted the funds to refurbish the kitchen.

That was completed last summer and now the aim is to place a defibrillator at the hall. An application for a grant has already been submitted to the British Heart Foundation.

The Village Hall Committee would like to thank everyone who has come to Coffi Troddi and for their support in raising such a grand sum.

Everyone is welcome on the 21st May, even if you don’t have plants to bring, just come along and join in the friendly coffee morning.
