Last Friday night (9th February) the Bridges Centre hosted the mayor’s pie and ale night.
The evening went very successfully, with an abundance of delicious steak and vegetable pies washed down with “Butty Bach” to raise money for the mayor’s charities. The night also featured the very talented local folk group, “Highly Strung,” who provided enterntainment throughout the evening.
Felicity Cotton (mayor of Monmouth) said “Thank you to all who supported the Pie & Ale fundraiser at Bridges.
“We ate and drank well, listening to Highly Strung, the local folk group with Bethany, Cassie and Eliza.
“Bridges provided the Ballroom for the event which attracted Melvin and Karina from Michigan, along with more local guests. The raffle went down well with donations from Monteas, pet vaccinations for life from Vet4pets Monmouth, and goodies from Marches delicatessen. Many donated further raffle prizes, which was amazing,” she added.
