A young Monmouth man who lost the use of one of his legs two years ago to cancer is to abseil down a 176 feet-high bridge.
Matt Clark, who had to undergo limb-sparing surgery after being diagnosed with bone cancer in 2009, raised more than £3,500 for CLIC Sargent in July by cycling from Lands End to John o'Groats.
Now the 20-year-old is gearing up for a new challenge – abseiling down the giant Newport Transporter Bridge – and wants other fearless fundraisers to take the plunge with him.
The event will raise more vital funds for CLIC Sargent, a cancer charity for children and young people.
"I had to work really hard with my physiotherapist and had support from friends and family, and my CLIC Sargent Social Worker, Jude, to get into shape for my fundraising cycle," said Matt.
