Wye Valley walkers are being encouraged to take up a marathon challenge by Macmillan Cancer Support.

Walkers can pick from a number of 26 mile ’Mighty Hikes’ including a Wye Valley route. The Wye Valley walk borders England and Wales with fantastic views of Chepstow Castle and Tintern Abbey. The Macmillan Cancer Support Might Hikes experience aims to raise money for the cause through a series of hikes taking place nationwide including the Wye Valley. With a medal and a glass of fizz waiting for you at the finish, regular refuelling pit-stops, a buffet lunch and marshals out on the route, it’s a guaranteed great day out.Macmillan asks everyone taking part in a mighty hike to pledge to raise £250 to help fund services for people living with cancer.Donations make up 98 per cent of Macmillan’s annual income, and as such, rely on fundraising projects such as these. Each £250 pledged helps people living with cancer. More information can be found online at mightyhikes.macmillan.org.uk
