Touched by the story of Imogen Ashwell-Lewis, staff of Lloyds Bank in Caldicot decided to raise money with a charity dinner. Manager of the branch Shaun Hiscox said that Imogen's story touched his heart: "After reading her story in the paper, I met up with Imogen and her mum and said that we wanted to raise some money to help her with her cerebral palsy. "The staff like to get involved in community projects and this was a truly worthy cause." Lloyds Bank have promised to match the funds raised through ticket sales and a charity raffle. The event will be held at The Hilton newport Coldra on 26th September this year and tickets, priced at £25, can be bought directly from the branch. Two-and-a-half-year-old Imogen from Portskewett was born 11 weeks early and, as a result, suffers from spastic diplegia. Though Imogen's cognitive function and speech is unaffected, spasticity in her legs causes a delay in motor function, causing pain and additional complications as she grows. £40,000 needs to be raised for Imogen to receive Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) treatment which will enable her to walk unaided.
