SIR,

I write as litter warden (volunteer) for the Wye Valley Walk, which includes the two riverside meadows.

I am also currently undertaking the same job in Vauxhall fields.

This is a plea to those who throw their bottles, cans and packets on the ground.

If you could arrange to deposit your litter where it can easily be picked up, this would be a great help.

When you throw it down the riverbank or into a bramble bush, it makes my job much more hazardous. Thank you for your co-operation.
