SIR, Pictured are George Green 11, Troy Tynan 8, and Tyler Cooper 7, from Overmonnow Primary School, who on their own initiative, dressed and equipped themselves with tools and identity badges as council workers. Keen to help older people and our environment, and following the example set by resident Peter Ingram and others for several years, their attitude and approach to work in hand was gratefully received. Living in the area nigh-on 46 years, and an ex town councillor for the area, I appreciated their help and willingly gave up my brush. As an active member of the Older Peoples Strategy for Wales, and a present member of Action 50+ Monmouth and Age Cymru, inter-generational action was to be applauded and encouraged.
