SIR,

I read our local MP's letter in your paper last week (9th May), apologising for the appalling inability for his party and the Liberals to govern the country. I'd like to thank Mr Davies for being so honest.

The answer to getting us out of this mess is not to worry about gay marriage or the House of Lords reform but to actually focus on the fundamentals of our capitalist system.

Creative people who invent and develop things that go in to production are the basis for the financial system to work, then and only then can the system support all the cling-ons like bankers and lawyers.

Sadley some 30 years ago the Tory government saw fit to destroy the working people's spirit by viciously tearing the heart out of British manufacturing while removing peoples rights.

I like many, right now, have disengaged from the political process due to the total incompetence of the coalition and their non existent vision and total lack of support for entrepreneurs and creatives.

Things are going to get worse because no one is doing anything about fixing the challenge while the bankers continue to party.

Jobs are created by the system supporting the foundations of commerce which is about people developing ideas from raw or base materials, adding value and selling into markets that want them taking in to consideration our planet and its needs.

It seems terribly out of fashion to actually want to sort out the world but if there are any other like minded people out there please can we hear about them so we can form a party that can actually save the human race.

Andi Francis
