Would you like to ride in style down Monnow Street in the Carnival procession on Sunday 19th August?

Rather than trying to outshine Her Majesty in her Jubilee year by looking for a king or queen, the Carnival group is trying something a little different.

Please send us 30 to 100 words (no photo) telling us why you could represent Monmouth Carnival Spirit.

Entries will be judged on your originality and your understanding of the uniqueness of Monmouth and it's Carnival: It could be the people, the sights, the music, the atmosphere, its past, its future, its celebrations ,challenges or dreams. What makes Monmouth special for you? You may want to focus on the Carnival day itself (There are plenty of past pictures on the website) ,or take a wider view of your home town.
