CONCERNS over vehicle access on Inglis Bridge in Monmouth have been addressed ahead of the bridge’s reopening, with a temporary solution set to be put in place.

The “Lego blocks” will be returned to the bridge to prevent unauthorised vehicle access whilst a more permanent solution is explored.

Councillor Jane Lucas for Osbaston Ward said : “I am really pleased that pressure has been brought to bear yet again by residents and I thank them for all their comments and emails that they do not wish for unauthorised vehicle access.

“There will be a temporary solution to put the Lego blocks back in until a more permanent solution is put into place.”

The reopening of Inglis Bridge will also be marked with a community picnic on August 31 in the afternoon. Posters advertising the event will be displayed around Monmouth area for those wishing to attend and celebrate this positive news for the town.
