RESIDENTS of Chepstow were out in force on Saturday 23rd November to see the Christmas lights switched on.

Hundreds of people filled Chepstow High Street to see Father Christmas arrive by horse drawn cart.

A group from Chepstow's Mencap group were handed the duties of hitting the button to turn on the festive illuminations.

This was after entertainment from bands and music groups from the town, on a stage built next to the Christmas Tree in Beaufort Square, including Chepstow Comprehensive School's Big Band, Wyedean Gospel Choir and Chepstow Town Band.
