SIR, I, like most law abiding citizens, am very concerned with the necessity of personal security. But how far is too far? Are we not living in a relatively civilised country town? Away from the trials and tribulations of world politics? If history repeats itself, then the methods applied during the Cold War in frightening people of impending doom, personal cameras seem to be working very well. As funding for policing dwindles it has become perfectly understandable that certain elderly members of our society worry, and not unduly. However, individuals with personal cameras on their properties could be misconstrued as, in all reality, to be the perpetrators of spying. Dr Hugh Willsy (Monmouth)
