SIR,
Monmouth Aid is a local charity, which has been active for more than 25 years, raising money to help communities in some of the poorest areas of Africa to become self-sufficient.
Our current project is to raise £28,000 to build a cap, a spring and build a well, which will provide clean drinking water for more than 2,000 people in Ethiopia – a basic commodity which we all take for granted.
Our AGM is being held in the Garden Room of Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls on Thursday 9th June at 7.30pm.
A representative from Action Aid will be telling us more about the project, and refreshments will be available.
We welcome both our regular supporters, and anyone else who may be interested in becoming involved.
